Senior Java Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to take our back-end code and processes to the next level.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience in software development
• Strong understanding of OOP principles and design patterns
• Solid understanding of the code quality principles
• Proficiency in Java EE and Spring 4 Framework (Core, MVC, Security)
• Experience with Hibernate 4
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational database principles
• Practical experience with RESTful API principles.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with application servers like Tomcat and WebSphere
• Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Proficiency in jUnit, Mockito, and unit testing principles
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent

Nice to have skills: - Knowledge of Warehousing or other Supply Chain domains - Experience with Oracle DB - Familiarity with Azure or OCI public cloud environments - Experience in virtualization and containerization (e.g., Docker) - Experience with C++ - Experience with production support - Proficiency in Unix/bash

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating within a Scrum team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Analyzing requirements and actively contributing to project delivery, from design to deployment.
• Enhancing product quality through close collaboration with the QA team.
• Driving technical improvements within the product, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Writing and maintaining comprehensive Unit Tests for both new and existing code.
• Performing thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Providing production support and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to resolve critical issues efficiently.
