Full Stack Engineer

Mid and Senior Full Stack Engineers – Golang, TypeScript, GraphQL, gRPC, GCP - $140-180k + super + options – Hybrid three days a week from the office in Sydney.

We have new roles for a lean, high-performance engineering team of 25 for a global digital healthcare product business with over 100,000 active customers.

They run at such a pace that expectations are high. The engineering team is senior-heavy, and we want to continue that trend, so there’s no time for hand-holding. You will be expected to take complete ownership of your projects from end to end.

Their GraphQL layer is in TypeScript. The front-end is built with TypeScript/React, and the microservices are implemented using either TypeScript (Node) or Golang. They have circa 60-80 microservices in production. The bulk of the backend is in Node, but for the past 12 months, any new services spun up have been built with Golang.

For this reason, if you’re an engineer who doesn’t know TypeScript or Golang, it will be hard to get a job here.

We’re happy to speak with specialists, so if you’re more inclined towards the backend or frontend, there will be a place for you on the team.

They are in the process of migrating some of the old monoliths to the new platform, which will require a significant amount of work over the next couple of years. Other technical challenges relate to launching into new markets and ensuring that their platform can support increased traffic as they scale and grow.

The culture here is super collaborative, and communication skills are vital. In the role, you will be expected to talk with non-technical stakeholders.

These roles are based in Sydney, CBD and three days a week from the office.
