Role Requirements

For being the first software engineer in a company, self sufficiency and extensive knowledge of how to start from scratch is required. Requirements have been split into two parts for senior and staff roles respectively. If you lack experience in some of the fields but are interested in this opportunity - let’s talk and figure it out together.

Core competences (Senior Software Engineer):

• Can code with Python or a equivalent general-purpose language
• Ability to implement front-end applications
• Extensive experience in back-end systems - designing services, APIs, working with relational databases
• Can navigate ambiguity, define structure, and drive delivery

Advanced competences (Staff Software Engineer):

• Can single-handedly implement infrastructure to support various developed services and web apps
• Can implement ETL pipelines and design a basic data warehouse to power company’s reporting
• Ability to deliver without external consultancies from minimal requirements

Big bonus if:

• Have experience with trading systems, real-time systems or quantitative finance
