Role: Data Privacy Lead

Experience (Years): 5+ Years


Roles & Responsibilities:

As Privacy Lead you will be part of the European data protection organization and report to the European DPO. You will help implementing and monitoring essential compliance elements of the GDPR and national data protection laws.

This will especially include

  • Addressing data protection questions from internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting documentation requirements of Tata Consultancy Services in line with GDPR requirements and company policies, such as Art. 30 data records.
  • Supporting the execution and compliance with GDRP-related policies and procedures, including in relation to data breach notification, data subject rights, data protection impact assessments.
  • Review of data privacy related contractual agreements such as DPA, SCCs
  • Advising on “privacy by default” and “privacy by design” requirements in the context of new policies, procedures or offerings of TCS.
  • Contributing to and holding awareness and training sessions in the organization.


Required Experience:


We are looking for candidates with an international mindset and interest to join a growing organization. Ideally you have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the field and have the following background and experience:

  • Experience in European data protection and privacy matters.
  • Strong understanding of the requirements of the GDPR and national data protection laws.
  • Qualification as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and/or comparable certifications in privacy/data protection are welcome.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Additional European language/s are a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with diligence, organization, and minimal supervision, and to provide practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse and complex workload while maintaining priorities and proactively anticipating issues.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate effectively with the highest levels of management and decision-making within the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders in the company, data subjects, data protection authorities and other controllers and processors in different jurisdictions and cultures.
