Software Engineer

Synopsis

The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing applications that are aligned to best practices and standards set by the Software Engineering chapter.

Accountabilities

• Contribute to the low-level architecture/technical design aligned to the high-level solution and business requirements
• Perform peer code reviews, providing feedback and recommendations to continuously improve the quality of the team
• Provide recommendations on coding standards and best practices
• Work within the agile development team to analyse and decompose stories into tasks for simpler implementation
• Proactively identify new frameworks/tools/processes to enhance the efficiency of the development team
• Responsible for the end to end quality of your own deliverables
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members throughout all the implementation lifecycle
  
  

Education & Experience

• 4-6 year’s experience following the Scrum methodology (certified is desirable)
• 4-6 year’s experience in software development, including the full development life cycle
• Knowledge of SAFe is desirable
• 4-6 year’s experience working in a fast paced software engineering environment
• Good communication skills
• Ability to provide good technical inputs to low-level design/technical design
• Ability to interact with Solution Architects
• Knowledge of design patterns, industry best practices and standards
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree is mandatory
