Design Specialist

Job Purpose

The Design & Multimedia Specialist will be responsible for creating, testing, and implementing visual elements for websites, marketing collateral, advertisements, social media platforms, and other applications. The Design & Multimedia Specialist will collaborate closely with the Digital Communications team to support and implement the organization’s communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and work with the wider team to understand creative briefs, requirements, budgets, and project progress.
• Provide support to the team from a technical perspective and make recommendations where possible.
• Create graphic and multimedia designs.
• Create basic animated videos and slideshows as required.
• Redesign and brand presentations and documents of the section/directorate.
• Continuous improvement of design, technical abilities, and software developments.
• Ensure that the organization’s brand guidelines are followed and applied to all designs and multimedia products produced.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of departmental/section systems, policies, processes, and practices.
• Implement all relevant departmental policies, processes, procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Adhere to the organization’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) policies, Business Continuity Management (BCM), procedures, and guidelines.
• Comply with the organization’s Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies, Business Continuity Management (BCM), procedures, and guidelines, and fulfill the position’s responsibilities for HSEQ requirements as outlined in the approved internal system, Volume No. 7.1B - Procedure title: "HSE tasks and responsibilities," and as specified in the job description.
• Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet the departmental/section requirements, policies, and standards.
• Support and participate in any directorate/section-wide projects being undertaken.
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, creative communication, digital communication, or a related field.

Years of experience and required qualifications:

Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience, in a relevant field
