PHP / Golang Software Engineer

Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum + Benefits

A UK-based SaaS company is looking for a Software Engineer to support and modernise a growing B2B platform used by enterprise customers. The company is growing steadily and is planning a full platform rebuild alongside continued development of the existing product.

You’ll work across a modern and legacy stack, primarily using PHP and Golang, with a strong focus on autonomy, architectural input, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for someone comfortable in fast-paced start up environments.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance the current platform built in PHP and Golang
• Contribute to long-term platform rebuild and architectural planning
• Optimise database performance and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA to deliver high-impact features
• Provide second-line support and troubleshoot live production issues

Key Requirements:

• Strong PHP and Golang development background, ideally with experience modernising legacy systems
• Exposure to SQL, and AWS
• Architectural awareness and ability to work across infrastructure, application, and product areas
• Previous experience in startup or scale-up environments
• UK-based and confident working in a fully remote team
