Senior Software Engineer

Overview:

Our Big Tech client is looking for Play Partner Engineer (Senior Software Engineer) to join one of the world’s largest gaming platforms, supporting millions of players through innovative internal tools and developer integrations. This is a highly collaborative role for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving problems, building scalable backend solutions, and engaging directly with game developers across APAC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to build and enhance internal tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues faced by game developers, primarily in APAC.
• Develop production-grade code using modern open-source languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, PHP).
• Act as a bridge between platform engineering and external game development partners.
• Support long-term integration and technical planning with external partners.
• Contribute to internal documentation, code reviews, and platform improvements.
• Participate in project planning and drive initiatives independently.

What You Bring:

• 5–7 years of software engineering experience, preferably in tech or gaming-related environments.
• Proficient in one or more open-source languages (Python, JavaScript, PHP, Java, etc.).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills across distributed teams.
• Experience with internal tool development and/or developer support is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, especially across time zones.
• Bonus: Familiarity with the gaming industry or platforms.
