Title: UI/UX Designer
Location: Remote
Duration: 160 hours, short term project
Compensation: $45-50/hour

UI/UX Designer
Description:
The company is seeking a talented and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to support the redesign and unification of multiple enterprise applications into a single, cohesive training system framework. This role requires a strong background in user-centered design, content organization, and accessibility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in designing intuitive, scalable user interfaces that comply with both Section 508 standards and WCAG 2.1 guidelines to ensure accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities.
Job Summary
The UI/UX Designer will work closely with the Project Manager, development team, and key stakeholders to:
• Design a unified, user-friendly experience across multiple training system modules/applications.
• Conduct a comprehensive accessibility audit to ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 standards.
• Develop detailed wireframes, user flows, and mockups to support development and usability.
• Improve navigation, information architecture, and overall usability to streamline user workflows.
• Reorganize and structure content to enhance readability, accessibility, and logical flow.
• Participate in collaborative feedback sessions, including user and stakeholder reviews, to refine and validate design concepts.
Required Skills and Proficiencies:
• Strong portfolio demonstrating successful redesigns of websites or modular applications.
• Proven expertise in accessible design, including compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar.
• Experience developing wireframes.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience designing for government, educational, or enterprise-level platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile development environments and cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first best practices.
