Cloud Engineer

Join Tabcorp as a Cloud Engineer, working with our AWS infrastructure that powers critical platforms, in this 6-month daily rate contract.

You will implement, operate, and optimise scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring reliability and performance through automation, DevOps practices, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement secure, automated cloud landing zones using infrastructure as code principles.
• Build reusable infrastructure configuration scripts and services for scalable deployment across the organisation.
• Maintain high platform availability through proactive monitoring and lifecycle management of cloud environments.
• Drive operational excellence across cloud platforms, focusing on cost optimization, governance, automation, and security.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to define and enforce cloud guardrails, security policies, and service controls.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure issues, optimise cloud performance, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated experience managing AWS infrastructure in complex enterprise IT environments.
• Hands-on development experience and familiarity with cloud automation tools such as CDK and Terraform.
• Proficient in Python and experienced with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security frameworks, and DevOps practices in agile environments.
• AWS Certification preferred, with proven ability to build and maintain scalable, secure cloud solutions.
