Network Security Engineer

Our client based in Brussels is looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer on a contract/freelance basis. 6 months contract initially with long term extensions (could be a number of years).

Please note that this role is full time on site in Brussels and EU Secret or NATO secret clearance is required.

Required skills and experience:

• Excellent knowledge of network security.
• Extensive experience working on with systems such as Firewalls, Secure access, full disk encryption and media, encryption, Remote Access, Internet Access.
• Excellent knowledge of administration of Fortinet firewall systems, content inspection, firewall statistics and related security tools.
• Excellent knowledge of administration of CISCO firewall systems, content inspection, firewall statistics and related security tools.
• Excellent knowledge of operating systems (Microsoft Windows and Linux).
• Very good knowledge of network management, monitoring and debugging tools.
• Good knowledge of PKI infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of dial-in systems with authentication and encryption.
• Good knowledge of proxy servers.
• Good experience in wide area protocols (ISDN, ADSL, etc.).
• 4 year degree in Computer Science related Degree and expensive experience in IT Environment. (In the absence of a degree each candidate will have an additional two years experience per annum of missing higher education).
• Ideally CCNA Cyber Ops Certified.
• Ideally ITIL certified.
• Nice to have : CCT Routing & Switching.
• Good English skills both verbal and written.
