Now we are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in Espoo Finland. In this role, you will collaborate with our DevOps/Delivery/Development teams to support, maintain, and enhance Finnplay’s platform and production environments, focusing on improving system reliability and performance. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a passion for automation, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal

candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be dedicated to maintaining high standards of system reliability and performance. The salary for this role will be 5000-6500€/month gross.


YOUR JOB IN A NUTSHELL:


  • Build and maintain reliable and scalable infrastructure for Finnplay’s platform, applications, and production environments.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize release plans, including database alteration and migration.
  • Monitor system health and performance, identifying and fine-tuning to maximize performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with teams and clients to provide recommendations for site performance and reliability improvements.
  • Meet delivery commitments and take ownership of the outcomes.
  • Swiftly diagnose and resolve production issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 system reliability.
  • Participate in releases.


IN ORDER TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, THESE ARE SOME OF MUST-HAVES:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes
  • Expertise in CI/CD practices and tools, including Jenkins, Nexus, Rancher, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions
  • Rich experience in Linux system management and shell languages
  • Good knowledge and experience in database systems management and operation (MySQL, Clickhouse)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and bare metal
  • Understanding of Java-based systems
  • Good understanding of networking protocols and concepts
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards in cloud environments
