Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/Terraform/Sandbox Creation)

Location: Hybrid from Stockholm - 2/3 days in the office

Objective:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team as a consultant for a 6-month engagement in Stockholm. In this role, the primary focus will be on creating and managing a Sandbox environment that supports contributions from multiple teams while maintaining infrastructure best practices. The candidate should have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, deployment processes, and team coordination. An immediate start is desired.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and deployment of a shared Sandbox environment that supports collaboration across multiple teams.
• Design, build, and manage highly scalable and reliable AWS-based infrastructures.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform to ensure consistency, scalability, and automation.
• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of backend services and APIs using modern Java.
• Assist teams in deploying services within the Sandbox environment and troubleshoot deployment issues as needed.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to align on environment requirements, usage priorities, and technical dependencies.
• Manage coordination efforts to ensure smooth communication and collaboration across teams contributing to the Sandbox.
• Ensure security, monitoring, and logging practices are applied across the infrastructure.
• Identify and proactively address technical challenges and roadblocks related to infrastructure and deployment.
  
  

Key Qualifications:

• AWS & Terraform Expertise: Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, VPC, etc.) and Terraform for IaC, including module creation and complex deployments.
• Networking & Security: Proficient in VPC design, secure external access, and compliance with production-like security standards.
• Production-like Design: Proven ability to create scalable, reliable environments that mirror production standards.
• Collaboration: Effective communicator with experience working across teams and supporting third-party integration needs.
