About The Role

The Lead Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer is responsible for implementing the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence and analytical applications. This role drives the long-term data strategy and roadmap, including the selection of technologies and tools. The Lead BI Engineer identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems, ensuring that business intelligence applications enhance and support business decision-making capabilities.

Key responsibilites

• Lead the end-to-end development of scalable and secure data solutions supporting enterprise-wide BI initiatives.
• Extract, transform, and load data from various sources using SQL and/or data integration tools.
• Oversee the design and implementation of robust ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or Apache Airflow.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and define KPIs.
• Translate business requirements into actionable data models and dashboards.
• Oversee the architecture of data warehouses and reporting systems.
• Enforce data governance and data quality standards.
• Ensure the accuracy, performance, and security of BI platforms.
• Deliver interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Qlik.
  
  

About You

This position requires a high degree of independence and may involve providing leadership and mentorship to the team. You need to have expertise in BI tools such as POWER BI, Qlik.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience working with Cloud data platforms (Azure)
• Advanced SQL knowledge for data querying and performance tuning
• Experience with ETL/ELT development using tools like Azure Data Factory, SSIS
• Data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling)
• Programming/scripting experience in Python, DAX, or R for data transformation and automation
• You have been working with Data warehouse architecture and pipeline design
