About the Role

Game District is seeking an Associate Product Manager who can contribute across game design, level design, quality assurance, and product management. Based full-time in our Istanbul studio, you will partner with the Game Producer to transform creative ideas into polished, data-driven mobile-gaming experiences. Daily collaboration with international teammates makes fluent, professional English a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design engaging gameplay, features, and levels
  • Draft level layouts, build difficulty curves, and document core-loop mechanics.
  • Prototype new features or levels in Unity, gather play-test feedback, and iterate for optimal fun and retention.
  • Own quality from concept to launch
  • Create and execute test plans, log and track issues in Jira, and verify fixes.
  • Monitor crash and performance reports, working with engineers to uphold stability and frame-rate targets.
  • Support product planning and delivery
  • Break down approved features into user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint tasks.
  • Maintain the backlog, prioritising items by player impact, effort, and roadmap alignment.
  • Facilitate stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, keeping documentation current.
  • Analyse performance and market trends
  • Track KPIs—level completion, retention, monetisation—and prepare concise reports.
  • Benchmark competitor titles, surface actionable insights, and propose A/B tests to improve engagement and revenue.

Qualifications

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in game/level design, product management, QA, live-ops, or a related role in gaming or digital entertainment.
  • Fundamental understanding of free-to-play mobile lifecycles and live-ops models.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana.
  • Basic Unity skills (or equivalent engine) for prototyping or level editing.
  • Comfortable reading analytics dashboards or spreadsheets; exposure to SQL or BI tools is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication; organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Business, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
