Project Engineering Manager required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Poland.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Development Oversight:
Own the structural and auxiliary system design scopes related to the topside.
  • Ensure each component to be designed is understood, justified, and allocated to the appropriate vendor or internal team.
  • Scope Management:
Define and split scope of work packages for structural and auxiliary systems (e.g. HVAC, firefighting, access platforms). Ensure all vendors understand their design obligations and deliverables.
  • Requirements Alignment:
Ensure that all design outputs are in line with clients' technical requirements, and manage any deviations or enhancements that exceed or fall short of these expectations.
  • Interface Coordination:
Identify, manage, and track design interfaces - across vendors, internal teams, and disciplines. Resolve conflicts or overlaps, and ensure seamless engineering continuity across packages.
  • Change Control & Design Inputs:
Capture and evaluate all changes to the scope, whether driven internally or externally.
  • Implement structured design input/change procedures and ensure traceability of engineering decisions.
  • Delegation of Design Packages:
As the design progresses, delegate ownership of individual scopes to internal engineers or to the lead designer of the plant where appropriate, while maintaining oversight and alignment.
  • Topside Focused:
All responsibilities are currently limited to the substation topside.
  • Foundation scope is not part of this role at this stage.

Requirements:

  • EU candidates.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Further qualifications in Engineering Management or Offshore Project Delivery are beneficial.
  • 8-12+ years' experience in structural or auxiliary systems design and/or construction for offshore infrastructure (wind, oil & gas, HVDC platforms, converter stations, etc.)
  • Proven ability to manage multi-vendor design scopes, package coordination, and interface control.
  • Experience in design development oversight roles, especially with owner/operator or developer organisations.
  • Familiarity with substation topside construction and auxiliary systems (firefighting, HVAC, internal structures, etc.)
  • Strong track record in managing change control, scope definition, and technical compliance.
