We are looking for a Middle Python Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

We are seeking a Python Developer with strong expertise in building scalable applications and a deep understanding of Python frameworks. In this role, you will develop and maintain backend services, optimize code performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficient solutions. Experience in the finance industry and payment systems will be considered a strong advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs. Integrate with external payment systems (in/out, status callbacks, etc.)
• Handle secure processing of payment data, monitor and improve system performance and reliability
• Write tests, review code, and participate in architectural discussions
• Communicate with payment providers and internal teams
  
  

Nice to have:

• Experience integrating payment providers / PSPs
• Understanding of PCI DSS, secure data handling
• Experience with Celery, async IO
• Knowledge of HMAC/RSA signature validation CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
• Background in mathematics, computer science, or a related field
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience with Python
• Solid experience with FastAPI and/or Django
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and Redis
• Understanding of containerized environments (Docker)
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS)
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Familiarity with RESTful API design principles
• English B1+ — ability to communicate with providers and read technical documentation
