Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We’re looking for an AI engineer to help continue building the future of math education by combining artificial intelligence with thoughtful design.

The technology powers learning tools, generates high-quality educational content, uncovers what students need help with most, and adapts to each learner’s unique journey.

You’ll be key in helping develop core AI systems and will work closely with our Head of AI & Data, and the wider software team, to bring ideas to life.

Your role can involve:

1. Solution Design and Development: you will work closely with the team to understand business objectives and AI needs. Design and develop AI models, algorithms, and solutions tailored to address specific challenges and opportunities.
2. Prototyping and POC Development: Develop proof-of-concept solutions to demonstrate the feasibility and potential impact of AI initiatives. Iterate and refine solutions based on feedback and insights gathered.
3. Deployment and Integration: Deploy solutions into production environments, integrating them seamlessly with existing systems and workflows. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth deployment and ongoing maintenance of AI applications.
4. Evaluation and Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the effectiveness and performance of deployed AI solutions, monitoring key metrics and KPIs to measure impact. Continuously improve and optimise AI models based on real-world feedback and usage patterns

What are we looking for in you?

• Bachelors and/or Masters in an IT, Engineering, or Computer Science related subject
• At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role involving aspects of software and ML or data engineering
• You should have a strong programming background with Python
• You should be knowledgeable about machine learning and model building, with experience in frameworks such as Tensorflow or PyTorch, and a critical mindset to evaluate the success of the systems you're working with
• Experience working with either Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Familiarity with working towards agile and devops processes

You will have the support of a cross-functional team consisting of seniors in software development, data science, and engineering, along with supportive & knowledgeable management team who come from technical backgrounds
