Product Engineer RA/SA

RESPONSBILITIES

Product Development:

• Initiate new product development request to be listed in PDM with factories by collecting market information, competitive study, sales requests, potential volume sales, market pricing & specs.
• Managing product lifecycle from conception to launch, including prioritizing features, conducting user research & after sales feedback.
• Conduct market research on technical comparisons of competition & proposing specifications & market analysis.
• Following, reporting to LCQM reports by communication with after sales and sales departments.
• Reviewing the technical proposals from R&D for new product based on proposed specifications and negotiating to meet the proposed specs in accordance with market.
• Upon draft finalization of specs with R&D, review the technical specs & features with sales region to conclude the features & specifications.
• Propose FOB Target prices against features & specifications in accordance to market with comparative pricing of competition on each capacity.
• Finalize the PPS file from R&D to initiate product development officially with factories.
• Follow-up regular meetings with R&D team and update management about with detailed reports.
• Support R&D with competition samples for tear-down analysis wherever requested.
• Coordinate with Certification Engineer / Manager on performance tests, functional tests, EMC, CB testing reports, labelling specifications based on regional regulations in coordination with R&D team. test reports.

Product Support:

• Responsible to support sales team on technical queries on products and coordinate with factories for ensuring timely feedback.
• Maintain database on product related technical queries and manage product portfolio for sales region.
• Review the product lifecycle and update the sales & service dept on transition of products with schedule.
• Ensure all compliance are met in accordance with regional requirement & government laws by coordinated with certification engineer / manager.
• Responsible for product end-of life due to regulations & ensure stocks liquidated within deadline and announcement coordination of the teams.
• Update & manage selection software with new product range to support sales & application team.

Product Launch:

• Upon finalization of Specifications & preliminary data is available from R&D, preliminary catalogue is prepared to consulting sales & application engineer team for spec-in activities.
• Upon final test reports are finalized and MP is confirmed, final sales catalogue with capacity tables, electrical data, unit features & dimensions and units’ specifications to be prepared in coordination with marketing dept.
• Product code, material specifications, price creation & upload to SAP & CRM with the coordination of DENV material control dept if necessary.
• Prepare product PPT slides & conduct product presentations to sales, application team & distributors.
• Follow-up, control with R&D team; Databook, IOM, Service Manuals & Spare Parts list upon MP in advance.
• Follow-up with Certification Engineer / Manager to ensure all certifications are ready before product is imported to the respective regions.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation of Presentations for DAME Top Management / MSM / PDM / DENV management on Product related information.
• Weekly update reports on Product Development plan progress to reporting to Manager.
• Conduct Product Price Meetings with current product portfolio & new product launch scheduled with Sales regions and collect their feedback on the product quality, price, features & after sales issues.
