Senior Electronics Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design of electronic circuits and systems from specification through to build and test
• Working with other engineers you will develop test and debug embedded systems for all stages of the project from prototyping to production
• You will be involved in testing and debugging and will have responsibility for the documentation of designs in line with company quality standards.
• Support and participate in design reviews
• Working with the project team to define project milestones and timelines
• Providing technical assistance to other departments
• Working with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality of service delivered in a timely fashion

• Excellent communication skills
• Analogue and digital electronics
• Design for manufacture
• Schematic capture and PCB layout using CAD tools – ideally Altium
• Sound understanding of test methodologies, including EMC and compliance testing
• Ability to define, demonstrate and justify potential design solutions for new requirements and for improvements to existing functional modules
• Designing to relevant international standards
• Authoring of specifications such as conformance test plans to prove designs meet standards and functional requirements
• Authoring of technical design documents showing how designs will meet requirements laid out in product requirement specifications
• Strong appreciation of firmware development process to enable support of the firmware team
• Incorporating designs into company quality systems and ensuring appropriate documentation is complete and accurate
