DevOps Engineer

Mission Type & Duration

• Start Date: 01 August 2025
• End Date: 31 July 2028 (maximum 660 workdays)

Working Hours & Location

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 hours and 36 minutes per day (standard working hours)
• Mode: Hybrid – minimum 50% on-site presence recommended; final arrangement to be agreed upon with the team lead

Mission Context & Objectives

• Support the internal Development Support team in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines
• Assist in the deployment of applications to a containerized Azure cloud environment
• Promote and guide the adoption of DevSecOps practices across development teams

Main Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on DevSecOps practices and cloud-native application deployment using containers and CI/CD pipelines
• Assist in configuring development tools and platforms
• Develop and maintain reusable CI/CD pipeline templates
• Write and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
• Coach and support development teams in adopting DevOps methodologies and best practices

• Application Servers: Tomcat, Nginx, Microsoft IIS
• Version Control: GitLab (Flow, Workspaces, Commitizen, Smart Commits, etc.)
• Configuration & Secrets Management: Azure Key Vault, Azure App Configuration
• Quality & Code Analysis: Sonar, SonarQube
• CI/CD: GitLab pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Terraform, Ansible
• Programming Languages: Java, Angular, .NET, Python
• Collaboration Tools: JIRA, Confluence
• Databases: Azure SQL
• APIs: SOAP and REST

Required Experience

• 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a DevOps specialist and developer using GitLab
• Hands-on experience integrating security in CI/CD workflows and cloud environments
• Demonstrated ability to coach and support developers in DevOps practices
• (Specific levels of expertise must align with the evaluation criteria defined in the tender)

Languages

• Active proficiency in either French or Dutch (spoken, written, and technical reading/writing)
• Passive understanding of the other national language
• Strong command of English for technical documentation and communication
