Design Lead

Are you a visionary Design Lead ready to shape high-impact digital experiences across diverse business domains? Amaris Consulting is looking for a seasoned Design Lead to join our fast-growing team in Brussels. In this full-time role, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of UX/UI Designers and play a key role in defining user-centric, high-quality digital solutions that align with strategic goals across multiple departments.

🔥 Your Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain high standards for design quality, usability, and accessibility across all digital products and services.
• Act as a thought leader in UX/UI design, championing best practices in design thinking, user research, and human-centered design.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of 3–4 UX/UI Designers, encouraging personal growth and team collaboration.
• Oversee resource planning and ensure timely delivery across multiple parallel projects.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and marketing teams to align design outcomes with business objectives.
• Serve as the primary design contact for internal teams, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the full design process—from discovery to delivery—on multiple initiatives.
• Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain consistency and excellence.
• Continuously optimize design workflows, tools, and methodologies within the digital team.
• Evolve the use of design systems, pattern libraries, and shared resources to ensure scalability and coherence.

🎯 Your Profile:

• You have 6+ years of experience in UX/UI or digital product design, with 2+ years in a leadership or senior role.
• Proven success in leading design teams in agile or matrixed environments.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating a broad range of digital design work and team leadership.
• Expert-level proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.
• Solid grasp of UX research methods and how to apply them effectively in product development.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Fluent in French and/or Dutch, with a good command of English.
