Senior Java Software Engineer

Asenium is looking for a skilled Java Developer to join a new project based in Lisbon. We are seeking candidates with solid experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot.

Location: Lisbon (hybrid work mode)

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java (Spring Boot)
• Integrate applications with databases and third-party services (RESTful APIs)
• Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and business teams
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning
• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices

Required Skills:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Java development
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIs
• Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git)
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Portuguese is a plus
