(Senior) Data Analyst, Amsterdam

About The Opportunity

Data is at the heart of decisions at Bitvavo. We are expanding our Product & Marketing Analytics team at Bitvavo and therefore we are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst you will drive insights in the Product and Marketing domains, facilitating data driven decision making. Your analyses and proposals directly impact product optimisation and company growth strategies.In this role you will work together with Product Managers and their teams, Marketing Managers and their teams, Business Control, Data Engineers and other Data Analysts and Scientists.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities

You act as an analytics business partner to the domain managers. This requires you to have a proactive, self-starting attitude. There is a lot of freedom to bring your expertise and ideas into practice. You will be responsible, amongst other things, for the following:

• Analyze data and derive actionable insights to solve business challenges and discover opportunities
• Build dashboards and reports to track product performance and marketing campaigns
• Analyze user behaviour across the funnel to identify growth opportunities
• Help Product and Marketing Managers design, set, perform, and analyze experiments using statistical models
• Develop strategies and predictive models that leverage data to optimize user-facing features
• Collaborate with the data engineering team to enhance data sets and pipelines
  
  

What We Look For

• 2-8 years of experience in a data analytics role, preferably in the product or marketing domain
• An academic degree in a STEM related area: e.g. Mathematics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Business Analytics or similar
• Data-driven mindset, ability to translate numbers into actionable insights
• Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, impactful way
• End-to-end understanding of databases, data warehouse development, and data transformation tools
• Strong SQL skills, deep experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, or similar)
• Some experience in performing predictive modeling and machine learning using programming languages (R, Python) is a plus (e.g., libraries like sklearn/tensorflow/keras)
• Eagerness to work in a fast-paced industry and company that grows rapidly
• Interest in the consumer trading and crypto space
