Data Scientist – Azure AI & Machine Learning

We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Data Scientist with proven expertise in Azure AI & Machine Learning services to join our innovation-driven data team. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and intelligent solutions using Microsoft’s Azure ecosystem for enterprise and government-grade applications. The ideal candidate is comfortable bridging business needs with AI/ML capabilities and can deploy end-to-end models that generate measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML), AutoML, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure OpenAI.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and hypothesis testing across structured and unstructured datasets.
• Build and optimize pipelines for model training, validation, deployment, and retraining using ML Ops best practices.
• Leverage Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Azure Databricks for advanced analytics and data preparation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, business stakeholders, and product teams to turn complex requirements into predictive solutions.
• Evaluate model performance using industry metrics and ensure responsible AI standards are upheld.
• Integrate models into applications or APIs using Azure Functions, Power Platform, or external-facing services.
• Maintain documentation, versioning, and testing for reproducibility and audit compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer with hands-on deployment in Azure Cloud.
• Proficient in Python, R, or Scala, with strong knowledge of ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with Azure ML Studio, Azure Data Factory, and Azure DevOps for ML lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of classification, regression, clustering, NLP, and deep learning techniques.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for ML, model versioning, and governance in Azure environments.

Required Skills

• Experience integrating Azure OpenAI Service, Prompt Engineering, or Copilot Studio into enterprise workflows.
• Expertise in Power BI, Power Apps, or Data Bricks Notebooks for visualization and deployment.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI practices, bias detection, and explainability tools like SHAP, LIME, Fairlearn.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate (DP-100) or AI Engineer Associate (AI-102).
