Vice President of DevSecOps

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Howell, NJ that is seeking a Vice President of DevSecOps. Summary: The client is looking for a hands-on technical leader to guide our DevOps, SecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering teams. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building secure, scalable systems and fostering cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor engineers across DevOps, SecOps, and SRE
• Drive architectural decisions and promote a culture of automation, security, and reliability
• Collaborate across development, security, and operations to break down silos
• Contribute directly to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and incident response
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps, SecOps, or SRE with leadership experience
• Deep expertise in CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Strong background in monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), scripting (Python, Bash, Go), and Linux/Unix systems
• Proven ability to lead as a player-coach and communicate effectively across teams
• Experience in the payments or banking industry is a plus
  
  

Preferred Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• CISSP or equivalent
• AWS/GCP/Azure DevOps Engineer
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
