Lead .NET Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead .NET Developer to oversee the technical development of a complex ASP.NET application and guide its transition into an AWS containerized infrastructure.

This position demands proficiency in .NET development, AWS cloud computing, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, proven leadership capabilities, and extensive experience collaborating with US-based stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for the technical aspects of an existing ASP.NET application built with both C# and VB.NET
Define infrastructure plans and execute the migration of the application into an AWS containerized architecture
Develop necessary modifications, restructure the code for compatibility with cloud, and integrate it with AWS-based modules
Work alongside the customer and project architects to align technical strategies with business objectives
Ensure seamless integration with other cloud-based systems
Outline and implement measures to enhance performance, employing tools such as Redis caching and ASP.NET Core hosted services
Present proposed technical solutions and decisions to stakeholders, accompanied by clear documentation
Analyze and reverse engineer application functionalities to assess potential redesign opportunities
Deliver continued application support and maintenance as needed
Adhere to stringent code quality standards to achieve project goals

Requirements

5+ years of experience in .NET development and AWS-related projects
Expertise in .NET Core, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core Hosted Services, and Microservice Architecture pattern
Proficiency in AWS services including Amazon RDS, Simple Queue Service, and Elastic Kubernetes Service, with complementary skills in Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of C#, REST API, Microsoft SQL Server, Redis, and SOAP APIs
Familiarity with Amazon S3, CI/CD pipelines, Argo CD, Helm, and Visual Basic .NET
Understanding of cloud-native application design principles and container orchestration
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
English language proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

Knowledge of Akka and the use of Docker Registry for container management
Background in designing and optimizing solutions using Redis architecture
Proficiency in Visual Basic .NET to handle legacy VB.NET components
