THE ROLE

The Canyon Digital Experience Design (DXD) team is on the hunt for a talented UX professional to help us deliver an ambitious digital product strategy. Working as part of a growing, friendly team, you’ll be responsible for helping people across the globe find the perfect bike and fall in love with cycling. The role can be based in Koblenz, Germany or Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Canyon DXD is a global UX, UI and content design team delivering new digital products and services for our customers. We’re research-lead, open and collaborative. As a seasonal business, we do have busy periods, but we pride ourselves on a healthy work-life balance. As a global team, it’s important we work with and design for diverse cultures and perspectives.

YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW

As a UX Designer you’ll be responsible for delivering a maturing UX mindset within the team and across the wider business, including:

• Planning, conducting, and documenting user research including interviews, surveys, and usability tests
• Owning the discovery and definition phases of design, including desk research, stakeholder interviews, technical feasibility, support with scoping, and documentation
• Creating wireframes, storyboards, screen flows and low-fidelity prototypes to support conversations with UI designers, stakeholders, developers and of course customers
• Analysing incoming feedback and user activity, iterating on features to enhance the user experience
• Supporting UX writers & content specialists to deliver the right information at the right time
• Supporting our Product ownership team to deliver detailed handover documentation to developers

HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE

• 3+ years professional UX (not UI) experience with a strong UX portfolio
• Comfortable with design and prototyping tools such as Figma
• Experience working directly with developers to handover complex digital products
• E-commerce experience would be fantastic
• Experience planning and delivering user research and usability tests
• Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment
• You are proactive, organised, rigorous, detail-oriented and a true champion of the user
• You actively enjoy seeking out insights and challenging perspectives from all corners of the business
• Our team working language is English, however a second language would be a bonus
