Merchant Solutions Technology

The Merchant Solutions Technology group provides the Corporate Bank with a dedicated team that capitalizes on the rapidly evolving technology industry to provide our clients new products and innovation to meet their growing needs within an Agile FinTech-like setup. We deliver innovative products such as our Digital Payment Gateway (creating an API based solution allowing Marketplaces and Merchant to streamline their payment processing and settlement activities). As part of our new team within the Berlin Tech Hub you will be responsible for technical design, coding, automated unit testing and integration and will liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Product Managers, software engineers/developers and testers regarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.

As a Junior DevOps Engineer (m/f/x) working on our platform team you get the chance to have a direct impact on the evolution of our infrastructure and cloud strategies.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Design, plan and lead the development of our cloud infrastructure in collaboration with the development teams.
• Work with business product owners, development teams and production support to define and monitor and report SLIs and SLOs that allow us to meet our contractual SLAs.
• Shape the future of our technology stack on the cloud and applying it innovatively to solve complex problems.
• Implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Security as Code (SaC) in GCP
  
  
  

Your Skills And Experiences

• Experience in automating SDLC pipelines and establishing SLIs and monitoring of SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, etc.)
• Collaborate and design the release efficiency and automating away toil.
• Experience in cloud-based, distributed, highly available and fault tolerant applications.
• Strong Experience in DevOps/SRE tooling such as: Helm, GKE and Service Mesh, Terraform, Github workflows, New Relic
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; German language knowledge would be a plus
