Senior React Native Developer

On-site, Dubai

GymNation is expanding our mobile team and looking for a Senior React Native engineer who has repeatedly taken apps from zero → production → ongoing support. If you have a portfolio packed with apps you personally shipped and maintained and you’re eager to mentor three talented engineers who are new to React Native, we’d love to meet you. The goal is to develop, ship and support completely new mobile app from 0 to 1.

What you’ll do

• Ship 0-to-1 features - Release an MVP in your first 3 months, iterate bi-weekly thereafter.
• Own the mobile codebase - Architect, test, release and monitor both iOS & Android builds.
• Mentor a cross-stack trio - Mentor three web/backend engineers in React Native best practices, tooling and release workflows.
• Set quality bars - Introduce CI/CD, automated testing and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate deeply - Shape product direction with Design, CTO, CMO.
• Operate in production - Handle crash triage, OTA updates, store reviews, push notifications, and analytics loops (CDP).

You’ll bring

• Live apps in the App Store / Google Play that you can demo and discuss in depth (architecture, trade-offs, metrics).
• Proven record of taking greenfield ideas to v1.0 and iterating post-launch.
• Comfort leading code reviews, pair-programming and running short learning sessions.
• Solid native fundamentals (iOS/Android), React Native, Tailwind, Expo or other boilerplates.
• Clear, concise communication in English; able to explain complex topics to non-mobile engineers.
• Work authorization for the UAE (or eligibility to obtain it).

• Prior leadership of a small mobile squad.
• Experience setting up A/B testing or growth experiments on mobile.
• Experience integrating with nest.js, AWS will be a plus.
