Senior Data Analyst- Remote

We are looking to hire a Senior Data Analyst- Remote who has a deep expertise in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), fraud detection, compliance monitoring, and audit analytics, with hands-on experience using Microsoft Azure tools and services for our client-based Dubai- which is one of the largest companies in the region.


This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 4 months and is renewable based on performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Model Development: Build and deploy machine learning models for risk identification, anomaly detection, and fraud prevention within compliance and audit environments.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large-scale, complex datasets from multiple sources to uncover trends, flag irregularities, and generate insights to support risk mitigation and compliance initiatives.
  • Automation & Visualization: Design and automate analytics workflows and dashboards for continuous compliance monitoring and audit readiness using Azure data services and visualization tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across risk, compliance, audit, engineering, and business teams to gather requirements, validate hypotheses, and promote the adoption of data-driven solutions.
  • Advanced Research: Explore and implement state-of-the-art machine learning and statistical methodologies to improve fraud detection, risk modeling, and compliance analytics capabilities.
  • Audit & Regulatory Support: Provide data-driven insights and documentation for internal and regulatory audits, including the development of audit analytics and model governance materials.
  • Model Monitoring: Oversee model performance in production to ensure ongoing accuracy, relevance, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Communication: Present complex analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.


Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), fraud detection, compliance analytics, or audit analytics within a regulated environment.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience using machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Fabric, Azure ML, Purview, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Monitor & Log Analytics, and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Deep understanding of risk management frameworks, regulatory compliance requirements, and control environments.
  • Experience working with large-scale, distributed data systems and building robust ETL pipelines.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and dashboarding using tools like Power BI.


Availability:

  • Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum 30 days after accepting the offer.
