Nowadays is the first AI platform for planning corporate events. For example, our AI can contact venues by email and phone to get availability, deal with back-and-forth negotiations, and present the best options.
We've proudly planned events ranging from Amazon's intimate executive dinners in New York, to Quantstamp's product launch in Turkey, to Google's offsite at Universal.
Within the first 6 months of launching, Nowadays has experienced exponential growth, growing to $3.4M in booked revenue from customers including Amazon, Google, and Notion.
Nowadays' leadership team is comprised of talented MIT and Ivy League graduates as well as prestigious backgrounds including Google, Meta, Amazon, Doordash, and McKinsey.

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work on the foundational platforms and systems—both frontend and backend—that enable us to build a high-quality product at scale.
We're looking for passionate and curious students who are excited to learn, build, and make an impact.
This isn't a typical internship—you'll ship production code and solve real engineering challenges from day one.

Timeline
The internship runs during the Fall (late Aug/early Sep to mid/late Dec), with an opportunity to extend.
Full-Time Opportunity
This internship has the potential to convert to a full-time offer upon graduation.
Compensation & Housing
We offer a competitive package that includes a generous housing stipend or company-covered housing, plus commuter benefits.
Commitment
This is a full-time (at least 40 hours/week), fully in-person role at our San Francisco office.

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work on the foundational platforms and systems—both frontend and backend—that enable us to build a high-quality product at scale.
- Build our core technical foundations, including our frontend architecture and backend APIs.
- Optimize for performance and reliability across the full stack, from databases to the frontend.
- Contribute to our core AI engine, helping develop our automation models.
- Improve engineering tooling and developer experience to increase team velocity.
- Enable Product Engineers by building the robust components and APIs they need.
We're looking for passionate and curious students who are excited to learn, build, and make an impact.
- You are a current student or new grad pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date of Spring 2026 or earlier.
- You have experience building projects with technologies like React, Next.js, Node.js, or Python (class or personal projects are great!).
- You have foundational knowledge of SQL databases.
- You take pride in your work and are motivated to learn and grow.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- You are a strong teammate who enjoys solving problems together.
- Interest in or experience with AI/ML models.
- Previous internship or project experience in a startup environment.
- A good eye for UI/UX design.
- You bring unique skills to the table, whether it's design, writing, or community building.
