Cloud Architect-Healthcare

JOB PURPOSE:

Lead end-to-end deployment of cloud solutions, including hands-on configuration, coding, and integration with Microsoft 365 services, Azure, on-premises and SaaS solutions. Responsible and accountable for highly specialized cloud Architecture platform with governance frameworks, driving cloud architectural consistency, and optimizing the performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of cloud environments. Provide Cloud strategic oversight and expert guidance on integrating cloud and platforms and services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps. Optimize cloud operations by driving automation, good practices, and continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness and in accordance with ITIL practices.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

• Manage and oversee the operations of all Cloud Platform in Naufar
• Develop and enforce cloud, platform and infrastructure governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with standards, security policies, regulatory requirements and oversight for all cloud and integration solutions and projects across the Department.
• Design secure, scalable, and reliable cloud and integration architecture aligned with business needs using Cloud Integration Services.
• Monitor, manage, and optimize cloud and hybrid resource consumption and costs via effective architectural decisions, policy enforcement, and automation, contributing to overall budget control and cost reduction across cloud environments.
• Leverage strategy to integrate cloud-native and legacy systems, ensuring smooth data flow and interoperability with integration to support long-term technological growth.
• Collaborate with integration specialists, data architects, security teams, application teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure that cloud and integration architectures are strategically aligned with organizational goals and deliver business value.
• Lead the continuous improvement of cloud and integration architecture practices, driving the adoption of automation, reusable patterns, and architectural standards to improve efficiency, scalability, and time-to-delivery.
• Lead, coach, and mentor people and teams, and provide guidance on complex cloud and integration issues to foster a culture of innovation and excellence in cloud architecture.
• Ensure IT projects are delivered within time and budget assigned to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved
• Plan project and resource allocations of technology team in order to ensure communication on key activities of projects flow consistently within the team.
• Develop and implement hospital wide technology standards and operating procedures for all IT related projects to ensure consistency on workflow and policies
• Initiate and develop Cloud Strategy for Naufar that will help the organization move forward in technology adoption and provide first class healthcare services
• Plan and prepare technology (not overall) budget and financial analysis in order to ensure feasible IT investments are made in achieving overall bottom line
• Monitor service providers performance through the establishment of performance measurement index in order to ensure quality standards are met
• Liaise and build relationship with service provider in order to encourage a mutually beneficial business relationship
• Coordinating with management, clinical and diagnostic staff to determine computing needs implementation of new systems, improvement or modification of existing systems and to determine future needs
• Providing advice and counsel to management on alignment of technology with Naufar initiatives, policies and strategic objectives
• Directing continuing review of present systems and methods and formulation of new/revised systems
• Develop and maintain system architecture, standards and protocols for data exchange and interconnection for health care network information systems in order to protect confidential information
• Participate actively in disaster recovery management and business continuity tests for critical classified software applications to ensure the daily operations of Naufar is not interrupted due to system failures
• Prepare and record important documents in relations to sourcing, tendering and purchasing processes so as to ensure consistency in information across department
• Adhere to Qatar data Privacy Law

Professional/Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree – Cyber Security
• Master’s degree – Desired

Certification and Licensure:

• Certifications in Azure, or Microsoft 365 or AWS (e.g., , Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)

Experience Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience working in DevOps, cloud architecture, or related roles.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Solution Architect with hands-on implementation expertise in Azure/M365, OCS, Google and AWS
• Strong knowledge of Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Azure storage) and AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation).
• Hybrid Cloud: Broad hybrid Azure or OCS/AWS environment experience.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 services, including integration and security configurations.
• Demonstrated experience in threat detection and analysis, incident response, and reporting.
