We're seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to create intuitive, engaging user experiences that drive customer satisfaction and contribute to our growth in the competitive pet care market.
Long-Term Project-Focused Role: As a UX/UI Designer, you’ll have the opportunity to own and shape our digital touchpoints, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the online experience for pet owners everywhere. You will work closely with the Product and Tech teams, supporting both user needs and business objectives across a variety of ongoing projects within a full-time commitment.
Key Responsibilities: 🎨
- User Research & Persona Development: Conduct user research and analyze insights to create personas, user journeys, and design solutions tailored to our diverse customer base.
- UI Design: Design clean, cohesive, and visually engaging interfaces across our digital products, ensuring they are user-friendly and aligned with the Hector Kitchen brand.
- UX Optimization: Continuously improve user flows and design elements based on data analysis, usability testing, and feedback, optimizing for conversion, engagement, and retention.
- Prototyping & Testing: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and conduct A/B testing to validate and refine design concepts.
- Collaboration with Tech & Marketing: Work closely with tech developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs and align with the marketing team to optimize visual elements for acquisition.
- Consistency in Brand and Design: Ensure that all user interactions maintain brand consistency and adhere to design standards across multiple digital platforms.
- Staying Ahead of Trends: Keep up-to-date with UX/UI best practices and industry trends, adapting them to enhance our digital products.
Required Skills: 🛠️
Hard Skills:
- Design Tools: Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design software.
- Prototyping & Testing: Experience with prototyping tools (InVision, Marvel, or similar) and familiarity with usability testing platforms.
- Front-End Knowledge: Basic understanding of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for collaboration with developers.
- Analytics & A/B Testing: Ability to analyze user behavior metrics, conversion rates, and use A/B testing tools to optimize design choices.
- Responsive & Adaptive Design: Skilled in creating designs that work seamlessly across mobile and desktop environments.
Soft Skills:
- Empathy & User Focus: Passionate about understanding users and translating their needs into functional designs.
- Communication: Strong verbal and visual communication skills, able to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale.
- Collaboration: Team-oriented and willing to work closely with multiple departments.
- Adaptability: Ability to handle and prioritize changes quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to small details.
What We’re Looking For: 🚀
- 3-5+ years of UX/UI design experience, ideally in eCommerce.
- Proven track record of delivering intuitive, user-centered designs that drive results.
- Experience in startup or scale-up environments preferred.
