Our client, a global hedge fund, are actively seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.


The role:

  • Design and deploy network solutions that support the firm’s trading and operational needs, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Monitor network performance and reliability, troubleshooting issues as they arise to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity.
  • Implement and manage network security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and protect against unauthorized access.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, trading, and operations, to understand requirements and provide effective networking solutions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure compliance and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality network services and support.


What you offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of networking technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls) and protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and network security.
  • Experience using Python, Ansible, Git, and network automation tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking in public cloud environments, particularly AWS and Azure.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
