Senior Fullstack Developer (Java and Angular)

Greetings!

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with 8+ years of experience to join our dynamic team in Downtown Toronto. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot/Microservices, and Kafka on the backend, with hands-on experience using Angular for frontend development. This role requires strong proficiency in building scalable APIs, working with relational databases, and delivering high-performance, reliable enterprise applications.

Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer (Java, Angular)

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, increasing to 4 days from September)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
• Build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using Angular.
• Develop and manage RESTful APIs and integrate them with various front-end and third-party systems.
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries; ensure integrity and performance of relational databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and contribute to technical best practices.
• Take ownership of assigned modules and proactively improve codebase health.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of professional development experience in enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Kafka for messaging and event-driven systems
• REST APIs and API design best practices
• SQL and relational database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
• Angular (v8+) for frontend development
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
