Software Engineer - Front End (Internship)

Job Summary:

Rubrik is a leading company in cloud data management, revolutionizing data protection and management in the multi-cloud world. The role involves working on the Frontend Features team to develop responsive user interfaces using React, collaborating with designers and backend developers, and participating in code reviews to enhance code quality.

Responsibilities:

• Translate Figma designs into responsive and reusable React components using JSX and CSS.

• Collaborate with the Design team to ensure UI/UX accuracy and aesthetics align with specifications.

• Collaborate with Backend developers to understand data requirements and ensure seamless integration.

• Participate in code reviews and pair programming sessions to enhance code quality and learn best practices.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and guidelines.

• Work with GraphQL APIs to fetch and manage data for new features and functionalities within Rubrik Security Cloud.

• Debug and troubleshoot issues in the user interface, providing solutions and improvements.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and stability of developed features.

• Attend daily stand-ups and team meetings to provide updates on progress and discuss any roadblocks.

• Document components, code logic, and workflows to maintain clear and comprehensive project documentation.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in Frontend development.

• Contribute ideas to improve the overall user experience and performance of the application.

• Assist in the deployment and release process for new Frontend features.

• Engage in continuous learning and participate in training sessions or workshops as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields.

• 0 - 2 years of Experience in Frontend Web Development.

• Knowledge of JavaScript fundamentals, including but not limited to asynchronous programming, closures, ES6, etc.

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.

• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and core Computer Science concepts.

• Team Player: Be willing to roll up your sleeves and work cross-functionally.

• You are proactive and not afraid to drive towards finding a better solution.

• Curious, open-minded, and ego-free, with a growth mindset who thrives on continuous learning.

Preferred:

• Experience coding in React or a similar framework.

• Experience working with GraphQL or REST APIs.

• Prior internships or work experience.

• Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques.
