Front End Software Engineer - Entry Level

Two Sigma is a financial sciences company that combines data analysis and invention to tackle complex challenges in investment management. They are seeking a highly skilled Front End Engineer to join their Broker Dealer Engineering team, focusing on developing tools and UIs to enhance trading data visibility and control.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with modelers, traders, and corporate teams to develop tools, UIs, trade surveillance systems, and reports that provide access to trading data, enhance visibility, control, and analytics for TSS trading.
• Design and manage trading UIs for the Options Market Making business.

Qualification

Required

• BS/BA degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, GRPC and RESTful APIs
• Hands-on coding experience and a deep understanding of design, architecture, data structures, and algorithms
• Knowledge of web service architecture for building scalable and resilient systems
• Outstanding coding ability with a focus on performance and optimization
• Enthusiasm for owning projects from start to finish and building high-quality, well-tested software
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative cross-discipline environment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred

• 2 years of proven experience developing web applications
• Experience with frontend tooling like Node.js, yarn, and JEST
• Experience in full-stack development with C++ / Java / Python backend
• Previous experience with trading systems
