The Role
The Monad Foundation is looking for a Director of People to focus on designing and executing talent and people initiatives that underpin a fast-growing organization. What You Will Do
Workforce Planning and Organizational Design
- Strategically advise the executive team on forecasting hiring needs and planning headcount roadmap
- Collaborate with the recruiting team on talent acquisition strategies
- Oversee global mobility matters
- Refine the organization’s approach to career progression, compensation, and leveling
- Design and implement a performance management process that aligns with company objectives and promotes employee growth
- Support managers in addressing performance challenges and developing their leadership skills
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and the executive team on all People-related matters
- Implement initiatives to promote employee growth and development, satisfaction, and retention
- Lead change management to support initiatives that enhance company culture, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness
- Evaluate and administer globally competitive compensation and benefits packages
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and alignment with industry standards
- Regularly review and adjust policies to maintain market competitiveness, including compensation benchmarking analysis
- Provide guidance on employee incentives (including but not limited to token compensation strategy)
- Own all core People operations, including payroll, policies, and hiring compliance
- Manage and optimize People systems and documentation as the organization scales, while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure HR practices remain compliant and current
- 10+ years of People Operations experience working with high-growth tech companies and startups, with at least 2 years in the web3 / crypto industry
- Comfortable with ambiguity and excited to build and execute people initiatives from scratch
- Experience managing a globally dispersed workforce
- Previous leader of process and implementation for talent development, leveling, headcount planning, retention, training, and performance management
- Strong operational thinker with a knack for solving problems and building solutions with a balance of creativity and common sense
- Significant experience in benefits administration, policies, payroll/compensation and related People process functions
- Proven experience working cross-functionally, across all levels of the organization
- Ability to be discreet and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Strong handle on compliance, jurisdiction-specific employment laws, and industry best practices
- Challenging problems. You’ll work on extremely challenging problems with massive impact.
