DevOps Engineer

🔎 We're Hiring: Senior DevOps Engineer (EL1 Equivalent)

📍 Location: ACT (Hybrid)

📅 Estimated Start Date: 1 September 2025

🕒 Contract Duration: 12 months + 2x12 month extensions

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing our cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices—empowering the agency to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions across Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain automated infrastructure using Terraform and IaC tools
• Lead DevOps practices: CI/CD, environment provisioning, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
• Implement and support Essential 8 security strategies
• Support cloud operations, incident response, and compliance
• Mentor peers in DevOps and automation best practices
• Participate in the Cloud Operations on-call roster

✅ What We’re Looking For:

✔️ Broad cloud domain knowledge and technical skills

✔️ Proven experience delivering secure and scalable Azure & M365 environments

✔️ Advanced IaC skills (Terraform/Bicep), version-controlled deployments

✔️ Strong background in DevOps pipeline automation and secure delivery

✔️ Familiarity with Essential 8, ISM, compliance tools

✔️ Scripting proficiency (PowerShell, Python)

💡 Desirable Skills:

• Tertiary ICT qualifications or equivalent experience
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
