Senior Android Developer (ENG + FR or DU)

Position: Senior Android Developer (ENG + FR or DU)

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Remote Work Possibility: Hybrid Setting

Type of Contract: Permanent Contract preferably

Mandatory Languages: English (C1 minimum) - French or Dutch (B2 minimum)

Eligibility: Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium.

We’re looking for a skilled Android Developer to join a collaborative Agile team of software development specialists. You’ll work on building high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, while contributing to a positive and learning-oriented team culture.

Requirements:

Experience & Technical Skills

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Android development
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent by experience
• Proven experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Material 3
• Solid understanding of Clean Code principles, Domain-Driven Design, and Android SDK best practices
• Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and practical experience applying it
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Proficient with version control systems (Git/SVN) and tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, JIRA, Confluence
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices
• Preferable: experience with Docker, Groovy, and container-based development environments
• Fluent in English; proficiency in at least one local language is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Translate functional requirements into high-quality, maintainable Kotlin code
• Design, develop, and maintain performant, reusable components for Android apps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, build, and release new features
• Work with APIs and external data sources
• Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and responsiveness
• Conduct unit testing, ensuring robustness and usability
• Debug and resolve performance issues and bugs
