Role Overview
As Head of Machine Learning, you will define and drive the company’s ML strategy, leading a team to develop solutions that enhance clinical, operational, and digital outcomes. This role combines technical depth with strategic oversight, requiring close collaboration across R&D, digital, supply chain, and executive functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a scalable machine learning roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of ML engineers, data scientists, and MLOps professionals.
- Deliver applied ML solutions in areas such as:
- Predictive modelling for operational or clinical outcomes.
- Computer vision for quality control or product insights.
- NLP for customer insights and clinical documentation.
- Ensure responsible, compliant AI practices—including transparency, validation, and governance.
- Champion the adoption of modern ML infrastructure and tools.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in product, operations, digital, and leadership teams.
Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of experience in machine learning or applied AI, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of deploying ML solutions at scale in enterprise or regulated environments.
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in Python, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and cloud-based ML platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML).
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
