Lead UI Engineer – Dublin (Hybrid/Permanent)

Our Dublin-based client is seeking an experienced Lead UI Engineer to join their growing technology team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of frontend/UI developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Drive the design and development of scalable, user-centric UI solutions aligned with the business goals.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and usability.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend engineers to bring rich, interactive applications to life.
• Champion best practices in frontend development, coding standards, and modern design principles.
• Break down complex business problems into elegant, maintainable UI solutions.
• Ensure high availability, performance monitoring, and maintainability of UI components.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on frontend/UI development.
• Proven experience in leading UI/Frontend engineering efforts or teams.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Deep understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks such as React (preferred).
• Strong portfolio or track record of building intuitive, responsive, and scalable web applications.
• Excellent knowledge of UI/UX principles, accessibility standards, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Passion for clean design and elegant, maintainable code.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Interest in finance/fintech and eagerness to contribute in a high-paced commercial environment.
