Job title: Java Developer (Investment Banking)

Location: Netherlands (2-3 days Hybrid)

Duration: 6- to 12-Month Contract


Required:

  • 14+ years of hands-on professional experience in Java/J2EE development.
  • Expert-level proficiency with popular Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA.
  • Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-level Java applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance. Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and best practices.
  • Take end-to-end technical ownership of key modules and systems, from conception to deployment and maintenance. Drive technical decisions and provide expert guidance to the development team.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with various architectural patterns (e.g., Microservices, Monolithic, Event-Driven Architecture) and design patterns.
  • Proficient in designing and interacting with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).
  • Extensive experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.
  • Develop high-quality, robust, and maintainable Java code. Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and optimize application performance.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) including understanding of relevant services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Strong commitment to code quality, with experience in unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), integration testing, and performance testing.
