Currently we are recruiting a Cyber Resilience SME. This person will be assigned to a long-term project at one of our clients, located in Amstelveen.

The role in short

The Cyber & Disaster Resilience Subject Matter Expert (Cyber Resilience SME) will play a vital role in the Resilience Project Team by leading resilience assessment workshops with technical and DevOps teams of the Bank. In this role, you will need to understand various IT landscapes of different applications and technology stacks, assess the current security posture of applications, and evaluate threats and risk exposure.

You will collaborate with engineers, technical experts, architects, and DevOps teams, demonstrating expertise in system architecture, cyber security, IT risk management, and business resiliency.

Key Skills:

• Understand current cyber threats and the technical aspects of attacks (TTPs).
• Evaluate existing applications to identify areas of attack with the DevOps team.
• Lead resilience workshops with different DevOps team members and assist in creating DR assessment worksheets.
• Mix quantitative and qualitative metrics to measure cyber resilience and evaluate existing controls.
• Raise resilience awareness and understanding among DevOps teams to minimize potential impacts on the business.
• Interpret existing architecture and underlying components to validate, challenge, and help the team define detailed scenarios and recovery solutions.
• Provide oversight and influence on the Bank’s cyber assessment capabilities.
• Lead through influence and collaboration, supporting constructive input and challenge.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Communicate complex topics effectively to different levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Experience in designing and implementing cyber resilience strategies.
• A relevant degree in IT, information security, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in major cyber resilience and security management frameworks like ISO 22301 and ISO 27000.
• Significant experience in cybersecurity threat management.

Nice to Have:

• Cyber security certification such as CISM or CISSP is a plus.
• Experience in the banking industry is a strong plus.
• Understanding of cloud computing platforms (Azure) and hybrid architectures.
• Experience in disaster recovery and/or assembling disaster recovery plans.
• Basic knowledge of technologies used by development teams, such as Java, Mainframe, Azure, and AWS.
