To support our presence in Romania, we are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role is based in Sector 2, Bucharest, Romania.

What you do on a typical day:

• Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries, resolving issues effectively
• Collect and verify hours worked for each employee
• Obtain necessary approvals from management for exceptional payments
• Accurately calculate payroll, including overtime, bonuses, and deductions
• Issue payment statements to employees, either electronically or in print
• Maintain accurate records of hourly rates, wages, benefits, and new hire data
• Ensure compliance with all payroll-related tax laws and regulations
• Support payroll and benefits-related projects
• Prepare payroll and HR-related reports for senior management
• Conduct research and make recommendations on compensation and benefits packages
• Handle confidential employee information with discretion and care

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the area of HR
• Experience in recruitment for blue-collar roles and familiarity with candidate selection tools and techniques
• Solid understanding of labor law and HR compliance
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• English language proficiency at B2 level; fluency in Romanian
• Good work organization, high communication skills, self-reliance and goal orientation
