I'm hiring for my client who's a BIG name in the automotive industry which was founded in 1946, and is undergoing a massive IT transformation. We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to help us lead the charge.

Their systems haven’t had a major upgrade in over 20 years. That’s changing now. With a newly appointed CTO, they're starting from scratch: replacing legacy platforms, modernizing architecture, and building robust solutions to power our B2B2C operations across 400+ workshops in Scandinavia.

👨‍💻 The Role

You’ll be part of a small but growing team of developers and architects helping to rebuild the core systems that run our warehouse logistics, workshop platforms, and ordering systems.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has deep experience with Java, including legacy versions like Java 8, but also up to speed with Java 17+
• Can work across complex systems with many moving parts
• Enjoys modernizing older platforms and appreciates the balance between stability and innovation
• Thrives in a greenfield environment but can draw from experience with mature codebases

🛠️ Tech Stack You'll Work With

• Java (8 → 17+)
• Spring / Spring Boot
• SQL & legacy data integrations
• Microservices & modular architectures
• Kubernetes / Docker (nice to have)
• Git / CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to .NET (plus, not required)

🌍 Who You Are

• You have 10+ years of Java experience, with comfort in both older (Java 8) and newer versions (Java 17+)
• You’ve worked on large-scale enterprise systems or legacy transformations
• You’re based in Stockholm or nearby, and happy with 2 days/week in-office

You speak Swedish & English fluently.
