UX Designer

RaySearch Laboratories
Sweden · Full-time · Mid-Senior

Design with empathy. Build with purpose. At RaySearch, your UX work can touch lives in ways that truly matter.

About The Role

Designing for oncology software means working in one of the most demanding and meaningful domains there is. You will be expected to make confident, well-reasoned design decisions that uphold safety, accessibility, and risk mitigation standards—working in collaboration with physicists and developers advancing the frontiers of cancer care.

As a UX Designer at RaySearch, you will be responsible for translating complex clinical needs into precise, user-centered, and empathetic interfaces. Working across product teams, you’ll design role-specific workflows, evolve our design system, and ensure that every detail holds up in the real world—where clarity, safety, and accessibility are critical.

This is a hands-on role focused on implementation, quality, and impact. You’ll design flows and UI components, collaborate closely with developers, and validate your work through usability testing. You’re expected to take initiative, follow through, and continuously improve the way we design—from the details in Figma (or whats next?) to the experience in the clinic.

You’ll be part of a collaborative UX team with service designers, clinical specialists, and engineers. Together, we make sure our tools don’t just work—but feel like someone cared enough to make them truly usable.

What You’ll Do

  • Design detailed user flows and high-fidelity UIs for complex clinical systems.
  • Create and refine components based on our design system, adapted to real workflows.
  • Prototype and test concepts early—ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and safe.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and clinicians to deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Take ownership of your work and have the ability to balance multiple constraints in complex design decisions.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio focused on implementation.
  • Skilled in Figma and modern design systems; confident working close to code and developers.
  • Curious about AI-enhanced design tools and how they can boost design quality and speed.
  • Comfortable working in complex, data-driven environments—ideally healthcare or similar.
  • Deep care for the people behind the interface—you obsess over clarity, empathy, and details.

Why this matters

We believe the future of UX in healthcare isn’t just about speed or automation—it’s about care. In a world where AI can generate anything, the difference is how it feels to the user. That invisible layer—how a product shows it cares—is what makes a lasting impact.

At RaySearch, we design tools that help clinicians focus on what matters the most: the patient. That’s our edge. And we’re looking for someone who shares that belief.
