Senior PHP Developer (Remote)

You’ll be solving complex challenges and maintaining our own infrastructure with 60PB+ monthly data traffic. Here are its scale and maturity in numbers:

• 6PB+ Ceph storage

The role provides you with opportunities to make your own decisions, ability to review and improve current system architecture, team processes, freedom to introduce new technologies that would lead to better product quality.

Your day-to-day:

• Ensure the stability of live systems by investigating current issues, implementing solutions, and coordinating with teams to drive long-term improvements
• Tech debt management
• Introducing and implementing code quality standards into an existing team workflows
• Overall BE team guidance, mentoring and support from technical side
• Active participation in grooming sessions
• Designing new features
• Defining product architecture and guiding team members on implementationImproving product architecture
• Research new technologies, PoC preparation and implementation of new technologies to existing architecture
• Own, present and defend architectural and technical decisions to company’s PEs and technical managers
  
  
  

Your skills & experiences:

• Have deep knowledge in PHP and Symfony framework
• Good knowledge of PHPUnit or other automatic test technologies
• Understanding of OOP, RESTful API’s
• Strong skills in software architecture & patterns
• Good knowledge of any message queue management system
• Experienced in microservices architecture
• Experience in mentoring and supporting junior and mid level developers
• Being a team player
• Good communication skills within and outside the team
• Motivation to work with complex solutions
• At least basic understanding of Kubernetes
  
  
  

Nice to have:

• Previous experience of leading a software development team or desire to do so
• Experience with Scrum
• Hands on experience with Go programming language
