Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to achieving the department and division goals in line with the sector’s comprehensive strategic plan and the goals of the Transport Center, specifically those related to the Geographic and Navigation Information Section.
  • Support the integration of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) with the geographic transport information infrastructure and related projects within the Abu Dhabi government and the Transport Center, and ensure GIS-Navigation systems meet operational requirements.
  • Provide technical support to GIS-Navigation systems users within the sector, through the technical support team responsible for the central GIS databases and applications at the Center.
  • Collect and document information on existing systems, prepare related technical reports, and participate in the design and customization of new systems and applications to meet business needs.
  • Analyze software performance, identify deficiencies, implement corrective measures, and maintain and update all GIS-related software and applications

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience (preferred 15+) in software development with emphasis on GIS systems and applications, the transportation domain is preferable:
  • Full stack development
  • ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#.Net, Python, JavaScript (including modern frameworks like Angular/Node/Express)
  • ArcGIS suite: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API for JavaScript
  • Hybrid and native mobile app development (e.g., Ionic, ArcGIS SDK for iOS)
